Sometimes we have a picture of what our life should look like, but more often than not, our reality does not match that picture. When our health, job, relationship/s, or life experience is not what we thought or hoped it would be we are often left feeling hopeless, lost, worried, angry, frightened, overwhelmed, sad, numb, stuck, etc. That does not mean that our experience is a waste of our time or that this picture needs to stay the same. Small changes often make a big difference.
In our work, together, I want to create a safe space where you explore your particular circumstances, identify what is not working, grieve any losses that you may have, navigate through unhealthy thought patters that may be causing you harm and no longer serving you well, discover strengths that you have that you may not be fully capitalizing on, and work with you on exploring ways to gain more awareness, feel more grounded, and increase resilience.
One of my goals when working with people is to empower them to help themselves so that they can experience life in the fullness of what it has to offer. I also love assisting individuals in finding purpose in their daily life. The way we do little things is often a depiction of the way we approach larger things.
My approach with people is sincere, honest, kind, gentle, respectful, graceful and trauma sensitive. When working with you I will use a holistic approach. I like to incorporate components of CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Strengths Perspective, Logo-therapy, etc. I’m also not afraid to talk about spirituality. In fact, I strongly believe that faith and hope are very important components in wellness and mental health.
I love to work in person with my patients. Our sessions will feel like a meaningful conversation. If you are intentional and committed to working to improve your mental health we might be a good fit. Thank you for reading this and I look forward to working with you.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker
“
My passion is working with children and families. I have experience working in the school system with children who present with anxiety, mood disorders, neurodivergence, and a variety of personal or family conflicts. I love working with children to understand the reason behind their behaviors and experiences and work with them to identify alternative ways of expressing their needs.
When a child is experiencing emotional distress or conflict, it is important that we understand and adapt to their world rather than forcing them to fit into ours. I work closely with families to create a supportive network for children to help them feel understood and safe as they explore different ways to express and manage their emotions
If you and your child are looking for support in navigating systems that do not feel designed for them, please reach out to me. I am honored to be part of this journey with you and your family as we work together to build up a team of support in order to give your child their best chance at embracing who they are in this world.
